Originally from Luanda, Angola, Loyd Garcia has been based in Switzerland for the past 27 years. He is the founder and CEO of Welcome to Angola, established in 2018, a platform dedicated to promoting Angolan culture, tourism, and heritage.
In 2021, Loyd launched the Muxima Kizomba Festival, a cultural celebration created with the mission of uniting and showcasing the richness of Angolan dance and tradition. The festival spans from Benguela in the south to Luanda in the north, bringing together top dancers and leading dance schools for three days of performances, workshops, and vibrant entertainment.
The Muxima Kizomba Festival offers a true taste of Angolan culture — an immersive experience of rhythm, movement, and community.
